Terms of Service
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms cover your use of this donation website, run by Tampines Chinese Temple ("the temple", "we"). By making a donation or creating an account, you agree to them.
Donations
All donations are voluntary gifts to the temple. They support its festivals, blessing offerings, upkeep and community work.
Amounts are in Singapore dollars. The price shown for a blessing offering is the donation amount for that offering.
Paying with PayNow
After you check out, you pay by PayNow to the temple's bank account using the QR code and reference shown.
Please keep the reference unchanged so we can match your payment. We confirm payments against our bank records, usually within 1-2 working days. Your receipt appears in your account once confirmed.
If we cannot match a payment to a donation, we will try to reach you using the email you gave us.
Paying by card
Card payments are handled by Stripe, a payment provider. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure page; the temple never sees or stores them.
Your receipt appears in your account once Stripe confirms the payment. A refund for a card payment goes back to the card you used.
Blessing offerings
For blessing offerings, please give the names (and any details asked for) exactly as they should be written. Temple staff carry out the offering according to temple practice.
Refunds
Donations are generally not refundable. If you paid the wrong amount, paid twice, or made another mistake, contact us as soon as possible and we will look into it. Refunds are at the temple's discretion and are returned to the account the payment came from.
Your account
An account lets you see your donations and download receipts. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We keep donation records as described in our Privacy Policy.
Using this website
Please do not misuse the website, for example by trying to access other people's information, disrupting the service, or making donations with funds that are not yours to give.
We work to keep the website available and accurate, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, the temple is not liable for indirect losses arising from its use.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
